In the 21 century there are too many
advances Communication Technology in our society. Many teenagers use
communicating apps such as Facebook messenger, Whatsapp, Twitter, Wechat, etc
to communicating with our friends.
Advances in communication Technology
has brought a lot of convenience to our life. But also brings disadvantages to
our life like some people will use these communication technology to do
something bad and cheat other people put of money. Sites like Facebook and Blogger
are also dangerous as in some case anyone can see your personal information.
In our private life, the
disadvantages are more than the advantages. The advantages are that we can
communicate and stay connected with our family or friends online, but it is
also easy for hackers to access our personal profile online. Many cases have
been reported that such incidents do frequently happen. For example, taken from
a website; “Gang Used Social Media Sites to Identify Potential Victims” (Teen
Prostitution2012). Our private lives are easily exploited through the
advancement of Communication Technologies too.
You also have other rights, to
prevent uses of you personal information, change or remove your details and to
know if you details are being held by a company or organization. These rights
exist so that you would be able to protect your personal information.
Impact on public life the personal or
an organization that holds information about an individual have the
responsibilities to kept the personal details private and only use it for the
purpose they required it for. The holder makes sure that the information is
accurate and up to date. Companies can advertise their products sometimes
empkyees can be less productive.
Freedom of information Act 1997 have
also been produced in Ireland and Amended of information Act (Amendment)2003.
The Freedom of information Act establishes the following held by public bodies
and government.
To conclude, Communication Technology
has provided advantages and disadvantages and without a doubt have a huge
impact on society and future. It can be said to be the invention of the century
because of the changes it makes the human race. We have to be careful and use
Communication Technology wisely so that it provides an insight for me future.
